One Year...

One year of seeing first smiles, first coos, first teeth, first crawl, and first walk. Cherished moments as the year has slipped by despite my best tries at holding on to each moment. Zachary had his first birthday yesterday. He is my baby, my last baby, and knowing that, I've been trying so hard to cherish each moment knowing how quickly this time goes. Church was a miserable 3 hours of trying to keep a now very mobile, walking baby happy despite it being nap time, lunch time, play time, and nap time again. It seems like just yesterday I held him peacefully throughout church as he slept in my arms. I mourn a bit the loss of those newborn days, but with experience, I know all the fun that is ahead with this baby of mine. I am enjoying the joy he shows when he sees me. He walks toward me, huge smile on his face, with his arm outstretched, saying "mama mama mama" and I smile in return as I scoop him up and smother him with kisses. So one year of his life has been greatly enjoyed, and I will strive to enjoy each of his future days, and those of all of my children. I love you little Zachy B! Happy 1st Birthday!

Sorry this is late reading it...but I cannot believe he is 1!!! It is different when you are looking at the last of teh babies - isn't it? What a sweet boy. Enjoy this next year - because once they turn 2 they truly are a toddler or little boy not a baby at all.

Hugs!
