Merry Christmas, a little late

I guess it takes getting the kids back into school for me to have time to blog. I thought I would share my two favorite pictures from Christmas Eve. The first is our traditional "here we are in our new pj's in front of the tree" picture. A picture with all of them smiling and looking at the camera did not happen despite my best intentions.

The second picture shows my favorite part of Christmas Eve. We've had dinner at my parents, we've opened the pj's and settled in by the fire for the Christmas story. Tom retold the story, then added the story of the 4th wiseman. The kids were giving their full attention and even Zach stuck around for a while. It's the last peaceful time before we shuffle the kids off to bed for the only night of the year that they stay in bed and "go to sleep" right away.

Unfortunately, Christmas morning came way too early this year (6:00 am). The kids say they had been awake since 5:00 but stayed "quiet" until 6. Christmas morning was a blast and we've all been a bit too addicted to Wii ever since.

Christmas PJ's are the best! I feel ya with the Wii. We have Mario Cart and my kids can't get enough of it. Sandy and Bob have even been coming over to bowl. It is an awesome family game :)
