25 Random Things

I know this is a Facebook thing and I've already posted it there, but I haven't blogged for a while, so I thought this would make a decent post until I think of something better. So here are 25 random things about me.

1. I was surprised that I could come up with 25 things :)
2. I cried when my two younger brothers were born because I wanted a sister so badly.
3. I love to sleep in a cool bedroom with a warm, cozy, down comforter, with my feet sticking out (no socks on).
4. I’m awful at entertaining/hosting. I don’t like doing it and am stressed the whole time. I only do it because I love my friends and family and want to reciprocate their kindness.
5. I’m not good at throwing things away and tend to hang on to things “just in case”. I’m trying to dejunk.
6. I could go to Disneyland every year and not get tired of it.
7. My husband and I had discussed marriage (to each other) before we had an actual date or a first kiss.
8. I’ve never been east of Chicago, but a goal is to make it to New York City to see a musical on Broadway.
9. My first time rock climbing was a 7 pitch climb (way long) and I was almost hit in the head with a huge rock that was as big as a basketball. (never told my parents about the rock)
10. I want to remodel my entire house. Time and money seem to rule this goal.
11. I was bitten by a rattlesnake when I was 12.
12. I almost fell off a cliff at age 4.
13. On the same trip, I accidentally hid in a Daddy-Long-leg nest and was covered in spiders.
14. I’m more afraid of spiders than snakes.
15. I fell asleep on the beach and was sunburned so bad that I fainted from the sunstroke.
16. I dislike the heat of summer. Mainly because of so many painful sunburns.
17. I’m religious about my children being in car seats at all times and until they reach the recommended age. I don’t ever want to regret the one time I didn’t insist.
18. I live two houses away from my parents and love it.
19. I taught first grade for a year.
20. Right now I’m addicted to Super Mario Galaxy Wii.
21. I love to have time by myself with peace and quiet, but I also love time with my non-peaceful children and husband.
22. I love chocolate and feel the need for some every day.
23. I’ve played the organ in church for 5 years.
24. I can’t believe I have 5 children and have been married for more than 13 years.
25. My life is good!
