So we've been married 13 years (this Sunday) and we've always had the leftover room piled high with things that had nowhere else to go. We had the room with a lock, so stuff that needed to be kept away from the children was kept there, including the computer and all the things that come with it. Our bedroom has never been a relaxing place. But that is changing. Before Zach was born, we switched everyone around and created a separate office attached to what is now our bedroom. Finally, no computer in our bedroom! But the bedroom was in sorry shape. The bedroom has been used by all of our children at different times over the past 8 1/2 years and showed the

wear and tear, especially on the white carpet and the white walls that children have decorated countless times. So for Mother's day, my dear family gave me new paint for my bedroom. All the money I received for my birthday bought the bed set (that was a long process, and after purchasing 6 different sets, this was the winner). Then it grew into new carpet and blinds. And then my sweet sister-in-law suggested stensiling on the furniture to tie it all together. So there are no pictures on the walls yet and some details missing, but the bedroom is almost done! I had to include pictures so Leslie could see the changes. It is so nice to have a relaxing place to go that is clean and peaceful. I also spent a weekend and got the office put together, so I can sit in the clean, organized office and look into my wonderful room and be overjoyed! So thank you Tom, and children for the gift and all the help. Thank you Dad for all the hard work to refinish, texture, and paint the walls, thank you David for being there through the whole process and loving the work as much as me, and thank you Mom for helping with the children so the dream could become a reality. I am soo lucky!
Now for the rest of the 85 year-old-house....
